All the time, bloggers make errors. But most of them are easy to avoid and, in the first place, much easier not to make.
Mistake one, not sticking to your blog’s topic.
Blogs are organized around a subject, and the more oriented the topic, the more likely you are to draw interested traffic. However, most new bloggers either ‘cast around’ for a theme, hoping to land on something that fits, or are usually just scattered.
Solution: keep your articles as focused on the overall subject you have set for your blog as possible.
Error two: Not directing traffic to their locations.
Blogging isn’t just about content sharing. Unfortunately, most people believe that they can come if they build it, and that’s just not valid. Most bloggers start off very well, they write loads of posts, and then it tapers off. Not posting often enough. They’re getting discouraged, or worse, they don’t think they’re doing it right. Blogging needs just as much focus as any other site, even more so, and like most sites, you’ll find that you don’t make much of an impact at first until you land on something very significant.
However, driving traffic to your website can be fairly simple-you can do it by engaging in other websites, and using your url in your sigline, you can comment on other blogs, or bookmark your website-you can gain much more traffic with broad exposure than just relying on SEO.
Mistake three: not communicating in your niche with others
Solution – Contacting someone in your niche is valuable because it offers you an opportunity to engage in connection exchanges. One of the easiest ways to do this is ‘mutually’ recommending the sites of each other you can do this, very easily, by asking the owner of the site to review your site, and you can do the same. That way, you can create a more useful ‘link base’ for the individual you are reviewing, and while they create a two-way link exchange with you, the exchange of links in the review style is still more valuable.
No matter what mistakes bloggers make, there’s always a way to fix them. You’ll find that implementing the solutions will help tremendously by focusing on the solution.
